Samling: Line Schjølberg
Line Schjølberg er en kunstner som ble født i Oslo i 1965. Hun har en kunstnerisk utdannelse fra Det tverrfaglige kunstinstitutt, og har tatt flere etterutdanningskurs ved Kunsthøyskolen i Oslo. Schjølberg maler bilder i en tilnærmet figurativ og poetisk utførelse. Hun bruker motiv som ofte er idylliske situasjoner med tilsynelatende uskyldige og ufarlige scener, for eksempel barn lekende i skogen eller hagen. Men bildene har også en drømmeaktig kvalitet med små hint om noe uforklart, som inviterer publikum til å prøve å finne ut mer om hva som egentlig skjer bak fasaden. Schjølberg har deltatt på en rekke utstillinger siden 2001 og har mottatt stipend fra Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond. Kunstneren har også utført utsmykningsoppdrag og er en anerkjent kunstner i Norge.
Line Schjølberg is an artist who was born in Oslo in 1965. She has an artistic education from the interdisciplinary Art Institute and has taken several professional development courses at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Schjølberg paints pictures in an almost figurative and poetic style. She uses motifs that are often idyllic situations with seemingly innocent and harmless scenes, such as children playing in the forest or garden. But the images also have a dreamlike quality with small hints of something unexplained, inviting the audience to try to find out more about what is really happening behind the facade. Schjølberg has exhibited in a number of exhibitions since 2001 and has received grants from the Norwegian Visual Artists Remuneration Fund. The artist has also carried out decoration assignments and is a recognized artist in Norway.
