Collection: Lin Petershagen

"My art is about harmony, beauty, optimism, humanity and the expansion of the mind with a heavy emphasis on how it is painted, with picturesque brush strokes, compositions and colours. It is generally a mix of realistic subjects with deliberately more abstracted surroundings, which makes that it all takes on a more surreal, fresh and modern look with a timeless feel."

Lin Petershagen (1988, Örebro), is a Swedish-Norwegian visual artist living on the French Riviera where she works mainly with painting. She grew up in Os in Østerdalen, and is the daughter of the Norwegian visual artist Asbjørn Petershagen (1954-2023).

Petershagen has an education in design from Tynset upper secondary school (2008), but is mainly a self-taught painter. In her teenage years, she worked with decorative painting of furniture at the local company Os trekultur. Since then she has exhibited in several places, including in Hamar Kunstforening and Galleri Elgen in Tynset in Norway, and has participated in exhibitions in France, Monaco, Switzerland, Mallorca, Italy and the USA.

She has works of art in several private collections, including in the Palais Princier de Monaco and in the Villa Saint Exupéry, Nice.

The artist has also had several painting commissions, and likes to paint portraits to order. Send us a request and we will pass it on to the artist.
