Collection: Mona Grini

Mona Grini was born in Skien, lives in Oslo. Educated at Århus Art Academy and the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. She works alternately with painting, the slow meditative process, and graphics, the faster one.

"The work process is my biggest inspiration. It can start with a vague idea, which takes a direction or is transformed into something completely different, but which nevertheless fits into an overarching theme in relation to the project. The traces that are created become poetic notes from the process. "

Often what she observes and senses is transformed into something more symbolic. She is concerned with the color and color attitude, shapes and visual gestures, moods and the movement in the picture. Would like to communicate the underlying thoughtfulness, a space that frees associations.
