Collection: Tom Eidsvold Larsen

Tom Eidsvold Larsen has a master's degree in graphics from Oslo University College of Art (2013). He previously worked as Loft Master at Det Norske Teatret.

After his master's thesis, he built a studio at Tyrigrava Kro in the former Oppegård municipality. He later moved to a new studio in Ås, where Larsen works together with graphic artist Jan Kolstad on both his own and joint projects. He has also been an assistant teacher and workshop master at KHIO for several periods until the summer of 2017. Today he works as a teacher/supervisor in graphics at Galleri 31B in Oslo.

Larsen mostly works with woodcuts, lithography and gravure. He is concerned with preserving the old traditional techniques within graphics. At the same time, he tries to stretch the boundaries of what is possible to achieve. Larsen largely uses iris in his pictures to create depth and movement. With great accuracy and new ways of solving the tasks, he performs an art craft that can be mistaken for a print. He works on the basis that the most important thing in his work is good quality.
