Collection: Anita Tjemsland

Anita Tjemsland (1969), is educated at the Art School in Rogaland (1991-93) and at the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts (1993-97). She has shown her works at solo exhibitions in, among others, Oslo Art Association, Hå gamle prestegård, Galleri Brandstrup in Stavanger, Galleri Gann in Sandnes and Galleri Norske Grafikere in Oslo. She has also participated in a number of group exhibitions at home and abroad, including in Denmark and Lithuania, as well as at the Autumn Exhibition and the Vestland Exhibition.

Anita Tjemsland has been purchased by the National Gallery, Stavanger Municipality, Stavanger University College, the Storting, the Ministry of Culture and Statoil. For several years, her prints have been part of the prize when Stavanger municipality awards the prize as Stavanger artist of the year. She has also done a number of decorating assignments, e.g. a. for USBL, Vestfold jernlager and Nye Bjønne's nursing home, as well as illustration commissions for, among others, CC Cowboys and the book Children don't drink cafe latte-about children in the city .
