Collection: Anja Cecilie Solvik

Anja Cecilie Solvik (b. 1974) works with both etchings and lithographs. The motifs are often birds and the colors are often few and muted. She works with close relationships and emotions. One could say that she puts the bird in the place of man.

Anja has a bachelor's degree in aesthetic subjects with specialization in graphics and three years at Asker art school. She has worked as an independent visual artist for several years and had exhibitions both in private galleries and art associations around Norway. This year she had a larger exhibition in Galleri Briskeby in Oslo, which has gradually become a well-known gallery specializing in graphics. Solvik has been purchased i.a. by Rica Hotell Kristiansund, Buskerud County Municipality and Art Club Asker and Bærum Hospital.

Several are aware of her strong commitment to preserving the birthing rooms - known as the "Bunadsgueriljaen".
