Finn Lande Andersen is a Norwegian visual artist born in 1941 in Lillehammer. Andersen's early collages and paintings, often portraits with a burlesque-fabulous touch, reveal impulses from New Art Nouveau and pop art. These are effective psychedelic compositions with monotonous, plastic-smooth surfaces, undulating outlines and strong colours.
Later, Andersen developed in the direction of a more realistic form of expression in materially and colouristically monotonous depictions of nature, often floral landscapes with discreet allusions to environmental destruction and nature conservation, in a more naïve character.
