Lars Aurtande

Lars M. Aurtande (b. 1973) has for several years adorned picture books, school books and magazines with his distinctive and humorous drawings.

Aurtande has received several awards and honors for his works, and has been nominated three times for the Ministry of Culture's annual picture book prize. He also won the media companies' national association award for "the year's best newspaper drawing", and has been purchased several times for the National Library's illustration collection.

He has an education from the Kent Institute of Art & Design in England, 1995-98 and Einar Granum Art School, 1992-95.

In recent years, Au . rtande exclusively worked with art projects, and has exhibited at, among other things, the Tegnerforbundet, Galleri Briskeby, Galleri Hellviktangen and at the Nordic Council of Ministers in Copenhagen
