Collection: Marianne Boberg

Marianne Boberg (1957) was born in Raufoss, now lives in Oslo. She is an exciting graphic artist who experiments with different techniques and motif choices. With the forest and nature's own forms, often as a kind of background for her human figures, she achieves her own fine, distinctive poetic expression. Her graphic works are mainly executed in cold needle on copper plates, but also with elements of other printing techniques, such as letterpress and the use of stencils of various materials and colours.

Boberg has a long artistic education behind him, i.a. five years in Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino and the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia. She has had several solo exhibitions and collective exhibitions, has been awarded prizes from home and abroad and has held several board positions, e.g. as chairman of the board of Norske Grafikere. She has been purchased by the National Gallery.

Marianne Boberg has been associated with Elverum Art Gallery since 2007 and has had several exhibitions in the gallery.
