Collection: Tina Tobiassen

Tina Tobiassens, born in 1963, has behind her a professional career as a skilled graphic designer with a number of awards for good design. And she has taken the graphic approach further into the painting. Composition and balance are carefully emphasized and her use of complementary colors helps to create tension in the images.

Her paintings are made up of acrylic, charcoal and sand. The motifs are dotted and figurative, but also contain some abstract elements. The background or environment surrounding the figures is reminiscent of dreamlike landscapes. They are not site-specific, but any viewer will still recognize them.
